Sometimes our plans at home require us to move around furniture. Perhaps it’s to make room for an extra seat (or three) when unexpected dinner guests show up. Or maybe you want to throw the Halloween party of the year. But when you live in a small space, it becomes much more than a simple game of add-and-subtract—wouldn’t it be great if you could just make your furniture disappear when you aren’t using it? Good news: You kind of can.
We recently stumbled across a brand called STSDOHAB on Amazon that makes storage staples that fold down and don’t use any traditional screws. The designs aren’t entirely unlike a portable beach chair, but the most beautiful thing is that they don’t look like they can perform such a trick when they’re out and in use. The overall style is very utilitarian, so the added joinery doesn’t earn a double take.

AmazonPeep the cabinet, for instance. Made of rust-resistant iron and available in two sizes, it can go indoors or outdoors (we love the idea of using it for balcony gardening gear or a pop-up bar) with ease thanks to the two back caster wheels. It also comes in a handful of bold colors, from tangerine orange to moss green. We’d be remiss not to mention how great this piece of furniture is for renters or really anyone who knows they’ve got a move in their future: The brand touts that it only takes 10 seconds to fold it into a nearly flat position.
The only thing missing is the reviews. Admittedly, there aren’t many yet, so it’s tough to tell what the actual quality and assembly process is like. But hey, we’re loving the concept.
